My Grand Challenge
Restore and Improve Urban Infrastructure
Through my experience traveling the world and observing all types of living conditions, I have learned the importance of infrastructure. I truly believe that when a society has efficient, reliable and economical access to water, electricity, communications, and transportation, that society will thrive. Look at some examples of the great initiators of advancement in human history:
-
The Silk Road allowed for easy transfer of goods from Europe to Asia.
-
The invention of the printing press allowed for the easy reproduction and spread of ideas
-
The aqueduct system in Ancient Rome allowed for effective cultivation of crops and the easy collection for day to day use.
I believe that my skills and background aid me in my journey to help supply the tools for societal growth, especially in areas that are disadvantaged. These things alone will yield uncountable feedback loops that will improve life everywhere.
